Wastewater/Drinking Water Program
Wastewater/Drinking Water Program
The OCRA Wastewater/Drinking Water Program was established to provide aid to communities struggling with adequate water supply and failing wastewater treatment. The program finances and assists in improving the quality of water and wastewater in Indiana, along with providing water and sewer infrastructure for counties and communities for development in the long term.
Eligible activities: Wastewater Improvements, Drinking Water System Improvements.
This program has the most funding available, but it is a competitive process with only two application rounds per year. Region 3A works directly with Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA) on behalf of communities that want to upgrade their drinking water or wastewater system. They help apply for grant funding by coordinating, applying and administration. The process starts by meeting with the engineer, identifying the project, and getting a preliminary engineering report. They pull all the information for the application and submit it. If funding is achieved, they administer it on behalf of the community and ensure compliance.
