Tax abatement programs significantly decrease tax on a property, or can even remove them altogether. These programs were designed to bring buyers to locations with less demand. Areas where revitalization efforts are focused are often the target locations. However, some cities offer tax abatements throughout their areas, while others only offer them in specific zones.

Region 3A works directly with companies seeking a tax abatement for a property. Their process includes gathering all the information on the project for the company and learning what they do. They identify the project and put together all the necessary forms where the designated body (council) would need to answer. From there they coordinate between the company, gathering everything as the intermediary to help council make an informed decision.
